The Cities Reading Group is open to PhD researchers, MA students, and other interested scholars who are working on topics that connect to contemporary urban spaces and cultures.
The Cities Reading Group provides an informal space where interdisciplinary urban theories can be questioned and discussed. It takes place in addition to the ASCA Cities Seminar and will complement and extend the activities of the seminar. Participants of the Cities Reading Group, bringing in their various urban research objects, may exchange ideas about cross-disciplinary approaches to the physical, social and imaginary dimensions of urban culture and experience.
The readings will be chosen and discussed within the group, reflecting on the ongoing research trajectories of the members. This reading group will take place once every two weeks, and can be joined at any time throughout the running semester.
