As part of International Architecture Biennale Rotterdam, Het Nieuwe Instituut is hosting a book launch of The Green Dip – a visual manifesto of an ongoing research project conducted by The Why Factory at TU Delft – on 10 October, 20.00. What if our streets were greener, and our cities thrived and turned into biodiverse forests? What would the resulting urban ecosystems look like? The Green Dip presents methods for bringing nature back to our cities and imagines a global urban forest – from Beijing to Singapore, Dubai, Moscow, Kinshasa, Paris, New York and Sao Paulo.
The book launch will feature a presentation by the book’s co-authors Winy Maas and Javier Arpa Fernandéz, followed by a panel discussion with city makers and researchers.
